TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) has become the go-to flat roof system on many commercial new construction projects. It’s a single-ply membrane that is heat-welded at the seams, lightweight, and often installed in a white or light color to help with energy performance.

There are many TPO manufacturers in the market, and membranes are available in different thicknesses (commonly 45, 60, or 80 mil), depending on the service life and warranty requirements the architect, builder, or owner wants to achieve.
